Was this taken in the water, scuba diving for instance, or in an aquarium (no glass reflection)? Fantastic!

@Helen: Eagle rays may look fierce but are totally harmless. They feed on plankton. The hardest part of underwater photography is getting close to your subject without scaring it off.
